    Movingly sexy...

Don't read any of the critics, don't explore who the author is. Just read this tale of extraordinary chemistry. It's moving and elegantly erotic. Don't over-analyse this story, it is simply great.

The movie is great, therefore I expect something further, deeper than the motion picture. The outcome is below my expectation.

Reading the novel itself didn't bring me thrills stronger than the movie. The theme song is written by Robert Kincaid in the movie, and it's simple and beautiful. I watch youtube and it brings me into tears every time. But it's in fact written by Robert Kincaid's friend in the novel. Weird.

Anyway, I'm pretty lost after reading the novel, after two months of reading it. I thought there'd be something more but the outcome was nothing. Now I'm going back to youtube for Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep, for my favorite scene.

    Good but sad love story

This is a good love story, well-written. However, it's sad and disappointing that the woman cheats on her husband and finds love with another.

Cheating is not something I approve of, especially since I've been on the receiving end first-hand.
