  There's one simple word to define this book: FUN!!!
  Every single page is filled with such fine humor that even if sometimes the paradoxes can prove "a little bit" hard to swallow, never mind, you won't stop smiling, as well as appreciating all the citations from SF Masters and most famous Characters.
  At any rate, I'll have to re-read it sometime in the future, as I'm not sure I've fully understood the final...
  But one thing is sure enough: according to the Author himself, he (the Author) is cruel, mean cruel. To be hated and despised (read until the end and you'll understand what I mean).

  Also, a pretty tough test for non-english mother tongue readers, the slang is estensively used.

  Ah, I wouldn't be surprised if Dan Simmons hadn't taken some little ideas from here for some of the side aspects of Endymion saga.

  Actually one of the weirdest books I ever read: smart, crazy, witty, unpredictable and funny (Tree-san and the wig are unforgettable), starting from the title, which seems to have been chosen during a trip and has hardly anything to do with the whole story almost till the end. I confess sometimes I got lost in Heinlein's universes and times, but it was a story worth reading which I would recommend especially to those, like me, who are not sci-fi addicted: this book is a wonderful display of creative power, pure fantasy at work showing what the genre is capable of offering beyond flying saucers and little green men. My only regret is the end, sad and quite hopeless.
