brian keene confeziona un romanzo apocalittico/fantastico scritto ottimamente, prendendo a piene mani da quell'immaginario mitologico del mai troppo omaggiato lovecraft. buoni personaggi, anche se con dialoghi non sempre all'altezza, ma soprattutto ottimo ritmo

I picked this book up online and read it using an e-reader. I started & finished it in a day obviously.

Now about the book itself, the writing style & dialogue was better than I expected. You can associate with the main characters. The book never skimps on actions or events either. While never really explaining the why (which sometimes annoys me and sometimes doesn't), it does lay out some possibilities.

Final verdict, I recommend this to friends & others that are interested in something different. Best "horror" novel I've read since The Ruins & Duma Key.
