I got outraged, I got overjoyed, I laughed, and I probably would have cried if it were socially acceptable for boys to do so while reading a book in public.

  • A book about differences - the voice of autism.
It captured me from the very beginning - loved the graceful way in which Haddon writes the book from Christopher's perspective!
    Truly extraordinary!!

  • Original

It's very interesting and really fast paced. The author has worked with autistic children for quite a while so he had all the material and inspiration to write this story and make it one of a kind. Brilliant work!

A great read! This is the story of a boy with form of autism and how his mind works and deals with the emotional issues that are dealt to him. The story is told from his point of view. It really brings to light that autistic people are not dumb, they are just not able to express themselves like people who are not afflicted by autism. It is a good story and it has a happy ending.

  • Told from the viewpoint of an autistic child. Recommended to me by a friend & colleague whose child is autistic. Sometimes funny, very endearing story.
