    Rachel Caine's series is not typical of today's vampire books for teens. Claire has more trials than I think she can handle. This book was not as good as the first but is entertaining. Claire has to save her enemy Monica from burning in a building which does nothing for Monica's enmity for her. She also has to save her boyfriend Shane from being blowtorched at dawn.
