Masterpiece! A must read before anyone attempts to write in the English language.

A great reference and easy to use

I heart this book. A short and thin little reference. Very easy to use and read.

This book is a little jewel. It is so famous and has been talked about for too long, that I feel like anything I say will be foolish, so I will only say this: it is true. This book is a masterpiece and it is surprising how a little text manual would become such a treasure. I felt privileged to read it and to keep it in my shelf.

I know giving this classic's classic mere four stars is almost blasphemy, but I do have reservations about its timeliness. Much of it was written more than half a century ago, and even this updated edition dates back to 1979. It is probably no longer the most informative or insightful book on writing style. However, I still enjoy reading it - not for its usefulness, but for the author's delightful prose.

  • Bought this version mainly because of its illustration and printing. I must say I'm purely attracted to its posh printing and art.

But let's not forget its content which is THE reason why it's a classic. You may check out the following website for its full version, free -
