The author may be good with words, but she surely isn't good with storytelling. The plot is unconvincing, and at times it feels so slow that you just want to yell for it to hurry up. not sure what I would say about this book after I finish reading it, but now? I am "lost".
I can understand why this book was chosen by Radio Four as one of the six best crime novels of 2006. But it is not the best crime novel that I've ever read and I don't think that 426 pages is necessary.
