I really don't know what to say about The Genesis Secret. Good premise, but weak execution (no pun intended). As other reviewers noted, the story starts out with an interesting premise, but quickly devolves into an utterly implausible conflict acted out by paper thin characters on two continents. I'm not sure where the author's obsession with ritual killing comes from, but it doesn't help hold the reader's interest - at least not this reader; I struggled to finish this flimsy story.
The intriguing discovery starting the story (and the fact the novel is loosely based on real archaeology and organizations) aside, the best I can say is that it didn't end with the plot twist I had predicted from about the halfway point of the book.
