  I picked up this book because I heard from several people that this book is less scary than What To Expect When You're Expecting. I haven't read the other one yet, but after this one, I am REALLY scared. I can't imagine how much worse the other one must be.

  This book is OK, however, I don't think this author and I would ever be friends of any sort. I think we would have completely different ideas as to how to lead a non-preggers life, so I don't think that reading her advice for pregnancy is helpful. She's very opinionated, almost to the point of being offensive sometimes, but it's her book so she can say what she would like. Also, in some cases she sort of glosses over details that still seem important and just comments that she doesn't want to talk about it, leaving me with even more questions than before. But I guess it's still good to see all sorts of ideas that are out there, so it's not a 1 star read.
