Recommended by the lady at the check-out counter at Border's.
A totally moving, compelling & hauntingly beautiful story! Heartbreaking too but one of the most sensitive memoirs I remember reading.
One of the ladies that works in Border's Books recommended this book to me and I bought it because it was on sale...I enjoyed it and passed it on to my niece to read.

Wow! What a life. Jeanette grew up with both parents who really liked to move around. She experienced so much as a young child. Some of what she went through was heart-breaking. Jeannette never gave the impression that she wanted to illicit sympathy. At times, I just loved her parents and then I wanted to throttle them. It is an enjoyable read. The love between the siblings is a treasure. I was sad when the book ended, because I wanted more. Which is how I feel after a really good book.
Iread this sometime ago, but it's a must read. I cannot believe how this person come out so normal. What a life. However, it shows how we all need to learn to except everyone for who they are.....
Great reading.
It is truely amazing that Jeannette Walls survived her childhood! This is a really good read. I loved it!
