I deeply enjoyed this book. In it, the author carries out an in-depth analysis of the (in)famous gunpowder plot, of the events that lead to it and what was its aftermath, not only from the historical point view, but also from the one of art.
It is quite clear that the amount of work behind this book has been quite significant, with all the needed research, collection of data and analysis of the documents of this important historical event. Moreover, all this data has then been put together by the author in a book that flows well from start to end.
On the negative side, I felt that some sections of this book were overly heavy, cramped with names and dates, and in general quite tough to digest.
