When approaching a Mariani book you don't look for literature or anything which will stick with you for long. You look for an entertaining mindless run which can fill some spare time. A seaside read.
Well, this instalment fails quite miserably also under this perspective. The writing has matured a bit, so mariani does not fall into the stylistic monsters of the first couple of books, but here what is really lacking is the plot, fairly pointless and unintesting, elides being very very slow. Some connections are just preposterous. And finally, the romantic background goes behind ridiculous... Not good, without doub the worst Ben Hope chapter so far...Continua
