I occasionally read Stephen Hawking’s book to refresh my knowledge in physics and cosmology. But for this book, I vaguely recalled that the first few chapters have been covered in the author’s other books, such as “Black holes and baby universes and other essays”. Nevertheless, the latter few, such as the direction of time, seems to be brand new to me and it gives me enough food for thoughts.
p.s. Stephen Hawking’s page mentions that this book is an unauthorized publication, without the consent of the author. No wonder.
