Unfortunately, I found this book completely unreadable and abandoned it after a valiant attempt at getting through the first 50 pages (I have a personal rule that any book should be given 50 pages of benefit-of-the-doubt).
Interestingly, I have met several people who have attempted to read the book (usually because they enjoyed The Name of the Rose), but none of them were able to finish this one.
