You know, it reminded me of those old western adventure comics that I used to pick from the shelves of boy relatives. I quickly changed them to Batman and Superman. Like I did with this one, quickly changed to another book (I'd been reading it for days but I never made it through halfway). It was just too boring for me to handle. Of all the books that I've read, this is the only one that made me cry at the ending. I picked it up quite casually as something to read on the train home from work one day, and initially found it slow-going, but once into it, I couldn't put it down. The fate of Uncas had me sniffling away. Beautiful....Continua
It took me quite a while to get through this. It's quite different from the movie which is what inspired me to read it. They both have their qualities, but this is one of those situations where I actually liked the movie better and appreciate the changes they made....Continua
