Pretended if you were a defecne lawyer, what is your paramount duty? Defence for your client at his or her best interest no matter if he or she is innocent or not? How about if you suddenly find that your client is not only guilty, but also is a devil, and at the same time, your former client is the real innocence one? Will you break the lawyer-client confidentiality between you and the devil client in order to save the innocence one?
Mickey Haller, a defence lawyer, who doesn’t care about guilt or innocence at all. His day-to-day duty is to negotiate with the prosecutors and his client to “act at his client’s best interest”. To do this, Mickey needs to find the crack in the grey area of law and lives in a world without truth!
In a usual day, Haller was engaged by a rich client, who had been arrested for attempted rape and murder to a prostitute. At first sight, Mickey saw a profitable case, however, this case was a nightmare and Mickey regretted to take this job eventually. As a defence Lawyer, Mickey has to choose between justice and professionalism: should he report to the police of what did his evil client do in order to do the justice but breaks the professional conduct? or should he maintain the professional conduct in not breaking the lawyer-client confidentiality without doing the right thing to uphold the justice?

You may find that there are too many things seems irrelevant to the case and you will soon jump to a conclusion that the evil client is an innocence one. However, having gone through the first few chapters, you just can’t stop reading, especially when hearing begins!
The story is exciting, and the cross-examination in the courtroom is indeed a lively one. In fact, you can’t breathe when you’re reading that part, and you may automatically generate an image that Mickey is standing in front of you and questioning the witnesses, the victim and the evil!
Be caution when you’re reading “The Lincoln Lawyer”, every detail is the development of the story afterwards, especially every word and every move that Mickey took in the courtroom … …...Continua

The book is interesting but don't expect in reality your lawyer will do the same for you....Continua
