    It is a wonderfully mysterious book. On the surface it describes the journey of the little prince from Asteroid B-612 and his friendship with the narrator of the book. But deep down it is also a fable of life, love, loneliness, learning – and much more.

    If you haven’t read it, go and read it now. If you have read it already, read it again some years later. Then read it again some years after that. Repeat the process as often as you like. You will realize that it has become a different story each time you read it, and you will see new meaning all the time. This is the magic of The Little Prince.

  • Un libro da avere sempre sul proprio scaffale, da riprendere con scadenze regolari in periodi diversi della propria vita, da cui non si finisce mai di imparare.

    我的HB版是在旺角林買的，已是一九八二年的新版。另外還有一本 企鵝的英文版，是T.V.F Cuffe一九九五年的新譯，還未讀過，不知譯筆如何。我讀過好 些《小王子》中譯，也不是每本都譯得好的。有一回我向朋友極力推 薦《小王子》，卻不慎給了她個劣譯。她將書交還後，說，也不過爾 爾吧。我大感奇怪，才將那書翻閱一下，果然譯得非常悶丙，平白將 一本絕代經典糟蹋了。

    這個Cuffe譯本，是那年遊南非回程在機場書店看到的，售價£ 5.99，折合南非幣$72（Ren），剛巧將我剩餘的Ren花 掉，一舉兩得。
