  • Such a fun and funny book! Yet another great Roald Dahl text that, despite the limited number of pages, is as enjoyable as any other longer one. The tale of the girl with the finger that teaches people their lesson by magically changing them is an original idea that is certain to please.

The Magic Finger is a funny children story about a little 8 year old girl who has magical powers in her finger. She decides to point it and shows the Greggs what it is like to live in the wild and be hunted, because they won't stop hunting ducks.
The story becomes a deeper message about doing to others as you expect to be done to yourself: while hunting is a way for the Gregg family to get their food, they must not hunt in excess, killing every animal.
