A fantastic Victorian thriller with a mixture of crime, mystery, family secrets & betrayals.
I found it very involving since the very first page, love the characters and the convincing gloomy atmosphere. I was a bit put down but the amount footnotes on almost every page but well worth the time.

This book didn't go unnoticed, in fact it went down very well. Excellently written, with a surprising plot, it's one of those few books I would consider re-reading.
