whether you believe (and what you believe) or not this is a book i recommend.
i never liked Paul, or st. Paul. i always found his ideas confused and illogical, not much in line with those 'good ones' that supposedly Jesus had and taught.
this book build a theory about why Christianity should be thought more of Paul's work than Jesus's lessons. i don't know if everything it says it's true, based on solid ground, documented or what, but it makes me think, and kind of confirm some of my uninformed opinions. it also suggests some new ideas.
the author goes a great length to explain why the Jews were turned into Christianity arch-enemies, and how the messianic movement (a monarchic-political one) was turned into a religious one. these explanations seem to make a lot of sense to me.
so, like i said, whatever is your opinion on the subject, try this book.
