A very interesting book for everybody who wants to know where our food comes from and why we eat what we eat. The author does a fairly good job of outlining many of the issues with the modern food culture...particularly in America. He frequently misses some of the externalities of the more "natural" methods of food production, which would have made the book feel more well rounded...but he isn't as guilty of ... (continue)

interesting, but...
the writing style is journalistic and painfully repetitious. Inside these 400 pages, there is a very good 250-pages book screaming to get out. I guess this is the fate of American books...
