    I've read this novel three times in two months. I am so pleasantly surprised by Reynolds. There's lots of SF around, but Sturgeon's Law is alive and well in these days. The Prefect is a good, solid mix of SF, thriller and adventure story, with a good plot, set against the background of Reynolds's future history, and real people in it. Recommended to anyone who likes good SF

  • Weird ghly and confusing but highly entertaining. The book was very confusing at the begining, but once I got into the flow of the story and started "viewing" the society where it took place, I started enjoying it a lot. The book was very confusing at the begining, but once I got into the flow of the story and started "viewing" the society where it took place, I started enjoying it a lot. I like a lot "science fiction societies' books" and in that sense it was good. Otherwise, the book is a nice detective style book
