From Neil Gaiman's award-winning Sandman series comes the longest story arc in Gaiman's extraordinary saga of the Endless. This is the story of the search for the Sandman's long missing brother, Destruction, and of the consequences of that ...
endeavour. The great quest begins when Delirium, the youngest of the Endless family, prevails upon her brother Dream (the Sandman), to help her find her missing sibling. Their travels take them through the world of the waking until a final confrontation with the missing member of the Endless and the resolution of The Sandman's painful relationship with his son, Orpheus, change the Endless forever.

"He was born with a gift of laughter and a sense that the world was mad. And that was all his patrimony." Its for me the best opening line ever, from the book Scaramouche. Great , great book (i like the movie too but there is no comparison, the movie it s an adventure movie and the book its an adventure where the adventure it s the anecdotic (but fun) point to do an entire social-political picture of a very interest age ( french revolution), greatly narrated and with all the flavour of the old adventure novels. But of course, its Gaiman, and its his Sandman. Its one of the best things you ever find when we talk about comic-books. It s fine and imaginative narrative, too..just unique. It s a great opening line. And this title, just great too: Brief Lives, when it comes to talk about inmortal beings, as well as humans lifes...well, every life must seems brief to the owner, no matters in fact how long it is. And every human life must seems briefer, indeed, from the perspective of an inmortal, in addition...lovely. (sorry for the redaction´s mistakes, i´m spanish and my english may be bad..^_^). Just great.
According to me the best in the Sandman Saga. Delirium starts a quest for Destruction with the help of her brother Dream. A poetic, dreaming adventure as you can expect from the stories of the Dream Master.
