  I do not know why I like this series, I mean the protagonist is almost a walking cliche`, the portrayal of women is awful, not quite powerless, but always scheming and plotting in the shadows, the books so far always end up in a hyper-powered magical showdown, but I cannot help, I like it...

  TSR is definitely my favorite book of the series. Every single plot thread is amazing and exciting. Robert Jordan managed to make a well-constructed story with the right amount of dramatic tension, and unlike several other books in this series the pace wans't affected at all.

  TSR is definitely my favorite book of the series. Every single plot thread is amazing and exciting. Robert Jordan managed to make a well-constructed story with the right amount of dramatic tension, and unlike several other books in this series the pace wans't affected at all.

  In this book RJ wrote what I believe it to be the most beautiful scene of the whole WoT (the one with Rand entering the Rhuidean glass columns). I truly love the story of the Aiel, it's so tragic, moving and well-written that it made my tears roll.

  Also, Perrin, who happens to be one of my favourite characters, got much more 'screen time'. Unfortunately, annoying Faile too, but it was compensated by the cool epic scenes in the Two Rivers.

  I really loved this series, at least as far as I got. Once they're all done I plan to pick them back up again.
