Need a midlife crisis book?

One of the best books I've read recently. Many interesting passages that make you want to stop, reread and ponder. Looking forward to reading the next two Frank Bascombe books.

It's taken me almost 2 weeks to read 60 pages. While well written it's hard for me to keep plugging through this book. I wanted to read all of the Frank Bascombe series but I don't think that's going to happen.

Good writer, but...

This was on the Time Magazine list of the best 100 novels of Time's history, but while Ford can write well, he's not so good at spinning a compelling yarn.
