If you loved the foundation cycle, probably you will be disappointed by this novel. It's a good sci-fi novel, but it's not worth a comparison with any other novel by Asimov.
However the book is well written, and the plot is somehow intriguing, even though is predictable, and lacks interesting characters.
You are probably going to get into the story, but unfortunately it doesn't develop as good as it should. Nevertheless the end of the book opens an interesting scenario, and I hope that the following book of the trilogy lives up to the expectations that this one has created....Continua
Together with "the currents if space", I find this second chapter of the Empire trilogy a bit inconclusive, a bit boring, and somehow lacking a sense of adventure and/or crime (like the robot series). I love the Foundations to bits, but this is just not my thing. There are elements that are hilarious, but overall the characters look a bit blunt and the last page just ruined it all....Continua
