One of the weirdest books I've ever read. Equal parts murder mystery, gothic horror story, satire, and comedy, it's like a Salvador Dali painting come to life -- nothing is exactly right. Clever and original, but not really my cup of tea - quite hard work for a short book.
Read it mostly because of the Lost connection. I think I can see a couple of interesting ideas that have/ will be used in the programme. Don't know if I would have stuck with it if I wasn't reading it for that reason.
