  i read every single ruth rendell-barbara vine book. i appreciate the moralistic undertones very much. this is maybe the one i liked best.

The level of irony is pretty high and the author relies heavily on the 6-degrees-of-separation theory - although I could never figure out which one was in a movie with Kevin Bacon ;-)

  Rendell insight in women paranoia always leads to her best literary achievements. Although the way the two healthy characters quit the scene sounds too much ex abrupto.
