This book is, very disappointingly, not written by a scientis, but an activist.

The author is totally blinded by his personal view, and keep accusing China for being wasteful (wrong, Aussie use more energy per head than any other people), or blaming US for making global warming... based on non-conclusive, mis-leading, unscientific, over-exagerated "facts".

What is the more influential Greenhouse gas? Carbon dioxide?? WRONG! It is water vapour. That means, clouds.

Clouds are weather. And the author is fully awared and admit that currently scientists have no idea on the details of clouds-formation! Oh, I finally find out why I am always confused on reading those pop-science explanation on cloud-formation!... Of course, because those who are writting it have no clue how clouds form!... I am totally impressed when after admitting this fact that he has no idea on how cloud form, the author continue to say his dombsday prophecy that, BUT, if you don't cut carbon emission, we will ALL die....

    I really don't like this.

And, this author listed many facts that support the weather book written by scientist who really have scientific spirit: The Cooling Stars. They are:

    1. 1950-70s, the Earth has global cooling! The author provide a very bad explanation, so bad that he is insulting the wisdom of his reader: it is because of the Sulphur Dioxide emitted from burning coal since Industrial Revolution. SO2 is a great aerosol in cloud formation so provide cooling effects.... Come on, Industrial Revolution begin in 18th century!!!! Why the Earth was not cooled off during that 1800-1950 and suddenly cool off after Second World War? Does this broken explanation convince the author himself? Do I look stupid?

    2. The author provide additional proof on aerosol's high effect in cooling off the Earth. Right after Sep 11, all air flights were stopped, no plane, less aerosol, less cloud, and the ground temperature increase by 1 degree!

Sigh... I should remember, scientists are just human beings.
