Read in conjunction with Huntington
This is a wonderful book, but Friedman confounds the distinction between modernization and Westernization. The result is a rosier picture than justified. Reading this in conjunction with Huntington's CLASH OF CIVILIZATIONS provides a more sober view of the world today.

having been to india, tibet, china and few other places touched on in this book, i have to say Mr. Friedman's analysis of their market potential is way-off. although it makes sense if you think about globalization and outsourcing from a western, American sense (we have a stable middle class), when y ...
