There are many truths here (I should know, I'm Italian :-), some baffling generalisations (coming from somebody who's written well after the 19th century, that is), but overall the book is nice, informative, fun, full of irony and stylish. To know your own culture you need to step back and take a different point of view.
This book is true enough.
I found this book very interesting and funny, even though sometimes the author seems to be too linked to prejudices. I don't think you can consider such stereotypes part of the daily Italian life.
