The book is about the fundamental principles of personal finance, such as capital protection and risk/reward ratio. The first principle illustrated in the book though is a general one, i.e. determination. You need to focus your wishes on attainable goals in order to become rich. And rich must be understood as "in a financially safe position", not necessarily as wealthy. From this point of view this book is a good guide for those who need basic know-how in personal finance, or maybe want to get out of a debt spiral.

The style is quite characteristic. It is written in pseudo-old English to mimic the ancient language spoken in Babylon, while still being perfectly transparent to any modern-day reader. I personally enjoyed the style a lot.

The first half of the book tends to repetition.

  • Obvious teaching of money: how to save part of your earnings and invest wisely to roll it big.

Some good reminders which apply to all aspects of life apart from money:

"Good luck can be enticed by accepting opportunity."

"Where the determination is, the way can be found."

  • This will be my child's bedtime stories and will instill in them, as it did in me, an ability to save money.
