This is the basic history for several families - Britt, Evans, Triggs, Dunstan and Haley. Then from around the 1830's I have charted a more detailed chronology of each of the families. I have not worked out the motives on why they did things or what ...
they did. This just follows the basic actual history of the families. Where possible the information that is included in here is what I have learnt from factual documents such as census records, services documents, birth, marriage, death certificates, trade directories, the times online and legends that have been passed down. The book follows the Britt and eventually the Dunstan families and their service in the British Army and the places they went and the battles they took part in - Crimean War, Afghanistan War, Boer War, World War 1 - Gallipoli, and World War 2. The book also follows the Triggs Evans family and their service with the Royal Navy taking them around the globe before returning to Portsmouth.
