Partly funny and fully idiotic.
Betsy (full name Elizabeth Taylor, mind you) is an obnoxious airhead with a designer shoe-fetish and a big mouth. Understandable - the shoe-fetish, but not quite my idea of the Queen of Vampires.

But what really bites (besides waking up in the morgue dressed in a pink suit and cheap shoes courtesy of her stepmother) is that she can't seem to stay dead. Every night she rises, with a horrible craving for blood. She's not taking to well to a liquid diet."
I actually laughed out loud a few times while reading it. This would be a good book to take on vacation or to the beach. Super fun.

First in the series

Goofy female vampire series - definitely more comedy than horror. I had some fun with it, but it didn't pull me in like some of the similar series have - it has been a few years since I read this, and I haven't felt the need to continue with the series.

Rather entertaining entry into the niche market for those who read romance novels about vampires. Decently written, funny and light with a bit of action thrown in. A bit much on the sex side, but that can't be avoided. Recommended to those who want a quick, light read.
