    This is one of my favorite Calvino books. Unfortunately he did not finish this book and there is no actual framework for this novel, it is still a wonderful reading -

    Three short stories about eating, listening ans smellig. Three short stories about desires. I always think Calvino is at his best when he wrote short stories. This is one of the example. His imagination took a different route to approach human desires. It is indeed a wonderful reading.
