With all the controversy around this book I just had to buy and read it. And did it deliver? Partly yes, because it certainly gives a unique perspective on hygiene. And there are things I learned about my own body I didn't know before. It's not a book you can discuss with just any friend because it is so explicit. But on the other hand it is just a short tale of a girl in a destructive state of mind. "Wetlands" as it is called in English shows Charlotte Roche to be a very creative writer with an unique point of view. I am looking forward to seeing a second book with a little more weight to it, as her first continues to shock the globe.
