This book was really enjoyable. Instead of the standard mermaids it was something original. It was full of action and always kept you wandering what will happen next.
The main heroine cannot decide if she wants to behave as a queen or as a teenager girl, so she follows whichever is convenient at the moment. Secrets and lies make her suspect everyone around her and you keep guessing along with her.
I liked the big ending, but the relationship situation not so much. As I see it the whole turn around at the end was made with the sole purpose of making it a series. Without it, it would have been amazing stand alone.
Still I am curious where the second book will take us.
