Book Description

In his second collection of stories, as in his first, Carver's characters are peripheral people--people without education, insight or prospects, people too unimaginative to even give up. Carver celebrates these men and women.

    Caro Carver,

    sei bravo, bravissimo.
Quelle tue scene scarne eppure dettagliate, quei momenti di vita insignificanti eppure stravolgenti.

    Addio.

I think that Keromde's review represent perfectly what Carver's novels are: perfect pictures of real life made using as less details as possible.
At the end of each story, this realization comes and one can't help but feel amazed.
