A very typical Binchy novel which is warm, friendly, easy to read, good for leisure reading.
More like a collection of short stories than a novel. Each chapter focuses on a character that is connected with the town of Rossmore and the Whitethorn Woods. The stories held my interest, but they were a bit too sappy and conventional. I didn't really care for the simple first person narrative either. The ending brought many of the characters together (very confusing since they had existed separately in their own contained narratives before).
