Why was Winnie-the-Pooh given his name even though he was a boy? I didn't know that Pooh was a bear with very little brain. Got to know the characters of all his friends too from this book. Enjoyable.

Somehow, too philosophical for me as an adult.
Anyhow, these are treasures for children. The writings are poetic and beautiful.

    So British

This is a tender book. Movingly naive and full of delicious puns. I love the way in which Milne uses Capitals, like "Fond of Pigs" or "Very Small Animal." Illustrations are lovely too. Don't be like Eeyore! Not for children only, but for adults too.
