    Powerful, obssesive, tormented, and passionate.

It is a pity that not everyone appreciates the dark passion in the book. But this is definitely one of my favorites.

«I love my murderer - but yours! How can I?»

It is a story about how feelings can be strong, but, at the same time, can destroy you. I'm thinking of a boy and a girl being each the half of the other one and fighting against the conventions of the society in which they live. I'm thinking of how things can get worse and worse when you feel you will have to live a woefully life, because the best part of you, your soul, lies in the body of someone else and all your world, everything you could have been or have done, is crashing down.

It's a story about the fatal attraction set up by the fate, one day, when you certainly wouldn't have thought of your life being indissoluble from the one of another human being.

She, seeking a compromise with her soul and with her mind.
He, seeking her and nothing else.

The perfect correspondence between a man and a woman and the awfull condition of sharing the same life but from a different point of view: each one looking for freedom and independence. Both trying to leave anyone but themselves, because they're aware of the fact that the world could end but, even then, they shall always be together, being the two halves of the same heart. «If all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and, if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the Universe would turn to a mighty stranger».
