An interesting portrayel of the ideal society. Although it was a bit of a slow start, this book really grabbed me after about 100 pages and was hard to put down. An interesting portrayel of the ideal society. Although it was a bit of a slow start, this book really grabbed me after about 100 pages and was hard to put down. This is the 2nd book I've read by Aldous Huxley after his most famous, Brave New World. Both books were highly memorable, but I think I am a bit biased to Island because of the philosphy. What a great author and such a great book to be remembered by.
