The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 3 was because I never have had just one book invoke every emotion out of my body. I have never cried that hard while reading a book. Extremely realistic writing style.
Great new series about The Immortals. Brothers who fight the Dark Magic on earth. One brother is captured by a demon and driven insane and wants to end all life. One Immortal, a witch, a shapeshifter, a werewolf and a vampire try to stop him.
This book is very different than the graphic novels of the same name. While it tends to be a bit formulaic, it's a fast read, has a strong ending, and should hold up well with it's target audience.
This book gets completely overlooked, which is a shame because it's really great. William Blake's poems, Songs of Experience and Songs of Innocence provide the theme of this coming of age tale set in the late 1700's in London. All of Tracy Chevalier's novels are well researched, but I think this is

A smart mystery that is endlessly thought provoking. The narration jumps from the main character Gerard to the ghost stories that he discovers. And the best part: the stories are really good! I got completely immersed in this novel. It's creepy, it's exciting, and it has great atmosphere. Read it!
