I'm glad I have participated Harry Potter's 7 years of growth! -
Harry Potter系列終於結束後，心中的惆悵有點不知道該怎樣排遣。每一本都是讀的放不下來卻又不捨讀太快。讀完後一直到現在都還無法move on to other books. 腦中不斷回味第六第七本裡面的一些對話。雖說陸陸續續讀了幾本所謂fantasy奇幻小說，但我發現自己其實並不是那樣into fantasy. Harry Potter卻是少數幾本的例外。會有深刻的感動，原因是我一向是個比較人本主義傾向的擁護者，我不在乎在這個wizarding world裡發生的事件是多麼奇想（雖說對J.K. Rowling 描述一些wizarding world裡面人做的事和態度，都可以看到許多真實 ... (continue)

心的距離 -
撇開部份章節的過於descriptive and slow in pace, 整本書讀完後我是相當感動的。很喜歡作者對於心理層面的細膩，因為一件事情，影響了所有人的成長與改變。藉由不停穿梭於不同角色的背後，讓讀者可以也跟著變成每一個character，了解並分享每個人的痛與無奈。我個人對於作者所帶出的夫妻之間的距離感到特別揪心，兩個人都很寂寞，但兩個人都穿不過那道無形的巨大的牆。讓我想到幾年前遠傳的一支電視廣告，叫做「心的距離」：身體上的物體距離與心的距離不見得是正比的。這本書裡所描述發生的事情是個悲劇，但讀的過程也可以算是一場療癒之旅呢。

暨Kite Runner (之前讀了中文版，英文原版還在等待我的review!)之後，這本新作A Thousand Splendid Suns (中文翻作燦爛千陽) 又讓我再次讀得衛生紙無法離開我的臉頰，基本上這個週末我的雙眼都是紅腫的！
記得初來美國念高中時，認識一位阿富汗來的女生，有著圓圓的臉頰，像媽媽一樣溫暖的笑容。當時的我並不了解阿富汗的情況，只記得無意中聽到她跟老師說話時提及自己國家中不斷的爭戰，那時才依稀有點概念她來到美國是為了避難，暫時無法回到自己國家... 這兩天埋頭讀這本書，不斷的想起高中時認識的這阿富汗女孩，雖說連她的名字叫做什麼我都已經記不清楚，但邊讀心邊揪 ... (continue)

又是一本「好險」在電影上映前就讀完的書。很喜歡Goldon細膩的文字。英文的書寫，卻完全流露出身為那個時代東方女子的思緒，讀著讀著，在這粉紅色櫻花的世界中，完全忘了作者是位白人男性！

很開心看到很多人都跟我一樣，覺得this is much better than Da Vinci Code!
當每個人都在為達文西密碼瘋狂，我卻對這本書更有感覺。
當每個人都為了達文西密碼想要造訪巴黎跟著書中的地圖走，我卻因為這本書想要將羅馬好好走一圈。

An easy read (from the surface though). 是一本適合在低潮的時候讀的書。故事用很乾淨簡單的方式陳敘，幾乎像是在讀寓言故事ㄧ樣，會讓人覺得生命又重新充滿希望。
