Though the stories may have been "written for children", the vocabulary itself was somewhat advanced for younger readers, but, if my relatives are any indication, still appreciated by them nonetheless. Though the stories themselves may or may not interest older readers (with the exception, perhaps, of "The Warlock's Hairy Heart", which was gruesome as well as taught a valuable message), Dumbledore's witty and occasionally insightful input should be appreciated by fans of the rest of the Harry Potter series.
