I almost didn't like this at first. Roland was not particularly likable in the first half, but then... yeah, I bit the hook at some point and pretty much stayed up all of one night to finish the second half.
I haven't remembered to put my library checkouts on the list as of yet, but Anansi Boys was one of them. I enjoyed this book immensely. I actually read this one before American Gods, but it's okay, because they stand alone. It's an interesting way to get a little introduction to the mythology that i

It's an interesting way to get a little introduction to the mythology that isn't the classic mythology that they bore you to tears with in the US. If Gaiman created the mythology curriculum here it would be so much more interesting!
Yay! I finally had some time to finish it! My reading time was so sporadic while I was at school, so I think I did myself a disservice with this book. I did quite like this book, but there was so much gap between reading sessions that I found myself not remembering details that I should have and then I had a sense of not connecting properly with the characters. I do highly recommend it to others, though, as well as it's wonderful follow-up, Anansi Boys.
An excellent sequel to Talisman and even further delving into the world that spawned the Gunslinger. More intense than the first and with some particularly excellent characters.

The Talisman
One of my all time favorites! Also, possibly the early seeds of the Gunslinger series were planted here, for those who enjoy that sort of thing...
