This book is fantastic, no doubt the godfather of pediatrics. It is very comprehensive, covering all the conditions seen often in peds. It does not just go through the management of each condition, but also the pathogenesis, the risk factors, the prognosis, the investigations and management and their rationale behind it. Simply superb. Get this book and nothing else. With the new online version, it is easy to print off sub-topics to read on the run, instead of lugging the massive book around.

You really do not need this book if you have the core texts such as Clinical Medicine by Kumar and Clark or Souhami, or Harrison or the likes. I did not like reading this book, nor gain much out of it at all.

This is one of the best textbooks i have ever read, and i don't just mean in the area of Immunology. Every section was very clear, and every single concept was reiterated, elaborated and explained in several different ways and applications, so you will definitely get the point they are trying to get across. Also i particularly like the introductions and conclusions that they have for every sections, and then every chapters.
However, sometimes i did find all those reiterations a tad too many and long-winded, but they certainly helped with remembering the facts, so i am not complaining.
