I'm a fan of 37 Signals and the way they communicate. I started the paper version of Reworked and finished with the Audible one. It's a brilliant book to listen to.

The rythm is fast, and they are dead on the point. Each chapter nails a solution to a problem. Some of which you might be familiar with, other less, or not at all.
What I love is the tone. They are talking to you. Through well chosen examples, they illustrate they point in such a way that it applies to many different kinds of industries, not only web design or tech oriented jobs.
Freelancers will recognise issues and situations as well as employees of large corporations.
The tips and tricks are precious. Pick those that ring a bell and give them a through, or better, a try. You won't be disappointed.

The format and layout are perfect. You can carry it around (it won't take you long to read if you are interested in the subject) without breaking your back, the structure enables you to jump to the section that interests on the moment. The example are clear and on the point.
This book is the first of its kind today, and an example to those coming up.
