During the book, I thought he was starting to resort to 'cheap writer's tricks' for some of the mystery but actually at the end of the book, everything made sense because all of the characters were acting due to whatever motivated them, not the author just trying to be sneaky. I think every dog owner could benefit from a copy of this book. That being said, there is nothing groundbreaking about dog training in this book. It's all information you can find in many other dog training sources. But it's all together in one place in this book and it is simple to understand. I found this book to be a good source of detailed information while not being too dry and stuffy, or too scary. I really loved the ultrasound photos in the back with labels on them, which is something I've only seen in this book so far. I think this is my second favorite pregnancy book.
