後果分析讓莎蘭德考慮了多種除掉畢爾曼的方式，但為了避免麻煩及一勞永逸，必須讓他再攻擊她一次，以得到控制監護人進而控制自己處境的方法。這就是我看完這本書學到的最重要的事情。
另外莎蘭德是一個充滿衝突性的角色，從性侵害遭遇開始，到走向叛逆的刺青女子，以一種值得同情的角度遊走於社會標準的邊緣線上，我很喜歡那種心裡懷抱著創傷但是用行動讓自我完整的角色，就好像"破碎的圓"有一種吸引人的美。
